Yoga is a dynamic flowing calming practice designed to stoke the inner fire, to cleanse both body and mind of things that no longer serve us.
Yoga teaches you to “let go”, filter out distractions and “just be” When you move the body from the breath the whole body connects and works in union, moving slowly with attention and awareness , you get to truly experience the feeling of connecting with your body and mind.
Your breath is the juice of life. Bringing conscious thought to your breath just as with the body, allows you to be present in your body as well as your life. Taking a few minutes every day helps clear the mind, strengthen the lungs and release the body of toxins. Begin to feel freer, less reactive in stressful situations and more at peace within yourself.
I have been practicing yoga for over 30 years , completing my Vinyasa Flow Yoga teacher training with Mercedes Ngoh 2011, enjoying the never ending journey and challenges it brings, both in body & mind.
I have found yoga brings a beautiful sense of lightness and energy to living, helping me to be more aware and appreciative of the simple yet important things in life, valuing my health, family and environment. Enjoying the seasons as they unfold, letting yoga practice guide me through the 4 so very different seasons, and varying practice in accordance with them. Yoga emanates an amazing feeling when moving through a fiery practice or to a more grounded practice, enjoying the journey and challenges it brings, both in body and mind.. Recognising the benefits that translate into every day life , yoga has helped me to deal with the emotional pressures enabling me to off load stress and create new space for the new challenges ahead.. I love the way yoga strengthens the inner body, supporting you through difficult times, through asanas practice, pranyama and meditation.. Accepting everyday as it unfolds – remaining in the joys of ” the here & now ”
